LGCYC Board Meeting

February 13, 2001

Attendance: Herm Lintner, Bill Morris, Bob Rippel, Spencer Raggio, Maryellen Rudolph, John Brodie, Rebecca Stanley, Kevin Joyce.

Minutes
Minutes of January 9, 2001, accepted.

Financial Report
Final budget items should be forwarded to Kim Andrews. A proposed 2001 budget will be presented in March. The PHRF book needs to be updated.

Events
Deb Katz has organized a ski day at Gore Mountain March 17th. Tickets are $15. Must be purchased by March 14th. We need 10 people to get that price. Spencer will announce it via email. Club opening event is May 19th. The social committee will plan a celebration following the June 2-3rd Mayor’s Cup from Lake George Village.

Communications
Bill Morris successfully distributed the 1st edition of the Corinthian Newsletter. Subsequent editions will be published immediately following the Board Meetings. March edition will include the Treasurer’s 2001 budget, member partnership announcements, calendar of events. The brochure will be included in the March edition.

Membership
Bill Morris reported that they are finalizing procedures for new members. Kim will be picking up the mail. Procedures will involve sending copies to newsletter, membership committee, treasurer, race committee and the commodore. Herm will send a letter of welcome, Bill will include the name in the database.

Bulletin Board
Kevin Joyce will work with Brodies and develop a board outside Yankee Yacht for member information Information posted will include: race results, scheduled events, need for crew, for sale items, etc. Buck and Greg will be developing a new brochure.

Race Committee
Final schedule will be published in the Newsletter. Bob will develop a list of committee boats and will place it on the Internet.

Ti Race
Chuck Thorne reported that he will be organizing Ti committee meetings on the 4th Wednesday at the Clifton Park YMCA 7 PM. Dates are 2-28, 3-28, 4-25, 5-23. They will have a long and short race again this year., Spencer will design and arrange for T-shirts. Chuck will follow up with Dave regarding involvement of Rotary club. Hoping to get coverage from the GF Chronicle.

Cruises events

Y-Knot
Rebecca reported that they have had a first meeting and are finalizing a schedule of events. Third Annual Y-Knot Regatta is scheduled for Oct 6-7.

Tanzer 22 North Americans
Dave Dougall unavailable. But has a new email address dougalldav@yahoo.com

Sailing Classes
Adirondack Bank is requesting that the club provide insurance coverage. Herm and Chuck will look into coverage for all Corinthian events.
