January Minutes
All are asked to review them and get corrections to Maryellen

Fiscal Status
Bob Miller our new treasurer confirmed he is in the process of
transitioning his role and records. At this time he has reconciled
the bank balance of $3571.11. He will be transfering the Corinthian
Account to Evergreen Bank. Account signees include Bob Miller,
Herm Lintner, Chuck Thorne?, Spencer Raggio?. Bob noted that he
had no accounts receivable (to LGCYC) but recognized that some
bills will be due US Sailing, Insurance (via US Sailing)
plus some from 2001. Bob intends to operate with no petty cash.
Herm will get Bob a copy of the current bylaws and the articles
of incorporation. Spencer will compose an invoice for 2002 membership.
To handle the LGCYC store a specific individual will be recruited for each event.
Herm passed out a draft budget for each committee for 2002. Comments and suggestions are requested before the March meeting. Of note is the proposal for basic membership fee to remain at $50 and the racing membership fee to increase to $75 (total $125).
Social
Deb Katz is setting up both the Ski Gore (March 17) and Sail/Social
at Gaffneys in Saratoga (April 6, 5pm). The club opening on Saturday,
May 18, 7pm will be held at the Downtown Emporium in Glens Falls.
Deb is working on the after-race socials. In particular she is
contacting Rebecca for suggestions re: handicap-friendly locations.
Ti Race
Chuck Thorne reported that the meeting to kick off the fund raising
for Y-Knot will be held at the Clifton Park Y on Wed. Feb 20th
at 7pm. The Ti race will be held on 6/15/02.
Sailing Class
Spencer Raggio outlined plans are on track to be held April/May
in the Adirondack Trust Community Center per the specific plans
as outlined in the newsletter.
Race Committee
Jon Brodie led the discussion on the race/events schedule.
It was decided that on one of the regularly scheduled race days
a long-distance race will be held instead of two round the buoys
races. Thus the tentative LGCYC schedule is as follows:

Newsletter
Bill Morris plans a Feb edition as soon as input arrives but before
the end of the month.
Tanzer North Americans
Yet to be decided as to location, but likely to be in Canada.
Membership
It was approved to raise the fee for racing membership to $125
($50 basic; $75 race). An invoice will be sent to all.
Club Ops
Spencer Raggio has drafted an updated version that will be a work
in process thru the season. The draft is listed on our Internet
site. All are to review & comment. Of particular note is the
addition of a new officer fleet captain
