LGCYC Board Meeting

Financial Report: Bob Miller sent a report
• Key Bank checking account closed on March 25 Opened Evergreen account.
• Balance as of 4-7-02: $2587.31
• Receipts for month: $50.00 ( membership)
• Disbursements: $438.00
• No outstanding payables or receivables as of this date.
• Inventory: T-shirts 31, Burgees 20, Reference Rules 8, LGCYC brochures 50+, US Sailing Right of Way Rules 50.
• Club applied for “On the Beach” insurance. Host liquor liability is included in the protection.
• We received 50 Rules in Brief from US Sailing for $81.00 inc $6 shipping.

Sailing Classes
• Note from Spencer: Registration is over 40
• He will place an order for 40-50 USPS sailing books from West Marine.

Social Committee Deb Katz report
• The club opening on Saturday May 18, 7pm.
• Deb will not be available for the Ti Race. Looking for volunteers. Maryellen Rudolph volunteered. Deb will contact Madelyn Thorne for assistance.

Ti Race Chuck Thorne
• Next meeting will be held at the Clifton Park YMCA on April 11
• Chuck reviewed the different levels of Sponsorship: Gold $500, Silver $250, and Bronze $100.
• Reviewed fund-raising letter being sent out. They are looking for companies to sponsor the race.
• Five Rainbows will be available for the Ti Race. It is hoped that class sailing participants will take part in the race. ($50 person) Looking for skippers to captain the Rainbows.

Race Committee No Report

Junior Sailing/Central NYYRA
No discussion. Will hold till May.

Newsletter Bill Morris
• Newsletter deadline is May 7. Please submit “copy ready” information by then.
• Bill will develop a list of names that will be dropped from the newsletter list. The Executive Board will review these names. Invoices will be sent separately.

Y-Knot
• Volunteer recognition and orientation May 5.
• Regatta scheduled Sat-Sun May 18-19. They are expecting nine boats.
