LGCYC Board Meeting

April 11, 2005

Meeting was called to order at 6:40

Present: Charlie Pound, Scott Romenesko, Marie Murphy, Dave Dougall, Steve Jackson, Deb Katz, Spencer Raggio, John Haller, Doug Purdy

Race Committee: The Annual Race Clinic will be held at Yankee Boating Center on June 4, 2005 at 11:00.

There will be a special meeting of all committee boat participants from 10:00 – 11:00, just prior to the race clinic. Anyone who has an interest or who has been assigned a committee boat appointment should attend this brief instructional meeting.

The race format will be the same as last year.

Dave Dougall will be calculating handicaps and will get list out soon. He will also be sending out committee boat assignments for this year. If the assigned party cannot fulfill the commitment, they will be required to find their own replacement and notify Dave ASAP. Preferably they will switch with someone on the list. Replacement should have been trained in Committee Boat rules and protocol.

Ti Race: Sign-Up and Bar-B-Q at Yankee: Friday, June 17; Race: Saturday, June 18; Awards/Bar-B-Q: Sunday, June 19. In the past Ti Race has used the PHRF "time on distance" formula. We will be switching to "time on time," like all the other races. A flyer and pledge sheets will be sent out by May 15.
