Just as predicted the strong south wind from the morning swirled around and stopped about 3:00 and then settled in from the north by race time. 24 sailboats started all at once, in just about the same spot. Spirit and Revolution got caught barging and had to avoid the RC and tacked away to try again, behind everyone else! They had their work cut out for them now! Crackerjack didn't let a little thing like the committee boat stop them so they hit 'em! Well, just a nudge I heard, but they did do their penalty turn, in America's Cup fashion; just before the finish line. Vaporize was first around the weather mark at Cotton Point, again. With Crackerjack right behind, again! I don't know how I got around third but it was a lot of work playing the shifts upwind and taking the knocks into the west shore. to ride the inside lift around the spindles at Cotton Point. Downwind Spirit's secret weapon, Brooke Beckos, making an appearance after many years, used her
 special touch with the spinnaker downwind to help pull away from Crakerjack and the pack to win the race!
