Results are posted for Race 5 at http://lakegeorgeracing.com/results.aspx?series=36 .  Great job by John Tarrant getting us off to a good start. Good cummication via VHF on  Channel 66 and for those without radios, yelling worked. Nice count-down by John helped the fleet of 19 boats plan their attack to the start. Lots of room on the line. No smashing of fiberglass this week. 

The east winds were crazy with shifts to the NE and finally to the south. Everyone struggled to get to the windward mark playing the shifts. Stinger was around first with Spirit coming in on the port layline and Revolution and many others coming in on the starboard layline. And then there was the Vaporize, laying on its side at the mark! Dougall in the water and Nelson standing on the keel trying to bring her back up. Quick evasive moves by everyone spared any disasters and once back up on their feet the Viper blasted around the course and edged out Revolution at the line by .01 of a second. Uncle Ludwig finishing 3rd among the J/24s edging out Flying Circus by .04 of a second. Lots of close competition throughout the fleet.
