[LG-list] Wednesday, rain or shine

No matter what the forecast says, I'm always optimistic that the rain will stop and the clouds will clear on my drive to Lake George every Wednesday. I always plan to race rain or shine, but what I find most impressive is how everyone shows up knowing we might have to sail in the rain. We do it because we have such a passion for this sailing and racing thing. But probably because we have spent so much money on our foul weather gear and need to use it. 
Worse case scenario for tomorrow . . . there's lots of rain and lightning and we have to abandon the race, however we can do what we did last year: Call off the race and start the party early. Don't forget the party in the LGC Grotto after the race. The Wednesday Night Mid-series Party! Now that's a good reason for showing up! I'll have the LGC GM keep an eye on the weather in the event we have to start the party early.
 
Our RC for tomorrow is John Tarrant. He's planning a short race. Forecast is calling for 5 knots of wind out of the WSW and rain storms sorry to say. He will make the decision to race based on the weather conditions.
